1974 Fender Bassman Amp 50 (cabinet & head)
Synonymous with a "barn find" Vespa or Lambretta scooter, this fine amplifier was hidden away in a church basement unused for almost 50 years until a local guy came upon it, bought it from the church, then sold it to me. This amp--both the head and 4X12 cabinet--is about as close to factory fresh as a near 50 year-old amp could be. All original tubes, wiring, circuits, cloth grills, Tolex, everything. No dings, no scratches, she's perfect. The thing about these Bassmans is that they make outstanding guitar amps as well as bass amps--they've been used that way since their inception back in the early 60's. This one is about a fine example of a Fender "silver face" amp as you'll find anywhere. Also come with pristine original dual Fender-logo covers as well. $2500, and shipping??? Who knows.
